AppHarbor is Shutting Down
Today I have sad news to share with you. Early next month, AppHarbor will unfortunately be shutting down after almost 12 years in business. It's been quite a ride and it truly has been a pleasure and privilege to serve our customers and the .NET community throughout all these years. Read on for details of what this means for AppHarbor customers.
In short, all AppHarbor services and products, including the main PaaS hosting product and MSSQL/MySQL add-ons, will be terminated on December 5th. Websites, applications and databases hosted on the platform, as well as third-party add-ons, will no longer be available after that date, and customers will need to migrate to other service providers to avoid downtime and/or data loss.
This will be relatively straightforward for many customers as there are now several providers offering very similar and compatible services. The process may be more involved for customers with larger and more complex apps though, and you're of course welcome to reach out through the support system for assistance.
I kindly ask for your patience during this process as I'm working with very limited resources at this point, and expect the next month to be quite busy - but I will do everything I can to make this process as painless as possible to the customers who have trusted AppHarbor with their business.
That’s all for now — I'll keep this post updated with links to relevant guides and answers to frequently asked questions, and current customers will receive more information and reminders by e-mail in the coming days and weeks.
A sincere thanks to all the folks that supported and used AppHarbor.
